Recently, Gene Guglielmo had the honor of joining the Marys of Sip Sip Hooray on their podcast. Mary Orlin and Mary Babbitt are two wine lovers who share their passion for wine through their podcast, where they share insights on different wines, wineries, and the wine industry.
In their newest podcast episode, Gene and the Marys discuss the upcoming Santa Clara Valley Wine Auction and Guglielmo Winery’s involvement. The auction will take place on Saturday, March 25th at Guglielmo Winery in Morgan Hill, California. The Marys will be hosting the VIP Sommelier Experience, and attendees will have the opportunity to taste some of the best wines from the region, including some from Guglielmo Winery. The Santa Clara Valley is the birthplace of California’s commercial wine industry, and the Marys are excited to support this fantastic and historic wine region. They encourage their listeners to join them at the wine auction and share a Sip Sip Hooray! toast.
During the podcast episode, the Marys and Gene also previewed a few auction lots and tasted some of Guglielmo Winery’s private reserve wines, including the 2021 Estate Grignolino Rosé, 2018 Estate Sagrantino, and 2018 Estate Petite Sirah. These wines showcase the exceptional quality of the wines produced in the Santa Clara Valley.

The auction is not only a great opportunity to taste some fantastic wines but also to give back to the community. The proceeds from the auction will go to local non-profits serving the community, thanks to the Wineries of Santa Clara Valley and the Morgan Hill Community Foundation.
